Zebra Chart for Child's Jumper
If you're on the hunt for a charming jumper pattern that your child will love, look no further! When our great niece requested a delightful jumper featuring a zebra design, we were determined to create a custom chart that would meet her wishes. This unique zebra jumper chart consists of 63 rows and 51 stitches, making it perfectly suitable for children's jumper sizes ranging from 2 to 8 years old in double knitting (DK) yarn. For ease of reading, the black stitches are illustrated in grey on the chart, allowing for smooth navigation as you knit. Please note that while the end of the zebra's tail is added with over-stitching, it is not shown in the chart itself.
It's important to mention that this description includes just the chart; you will need to find your own base pattern for the main body of the jumper. We used the Mr. Fox Sweater pattern by Denny Gould, which is readily available on Lovecrafts – a great source for knitting enthusiasts! The jumper shown in the images is sized for 4-5 years and the zebra chart begins approximately 4 stitches above the bottom band of the sweater. This allows for a beautiful and playful design that can easily become a favorite in your child's wardrobe.
Perfect for gifting or personal use, this zebra jumper is not only a fun project to knit, but it also makes for a fantastic statement piece for any young child. Embrace your creativity and whip up this adorable zebra jumper that children will adore. Happy knitting!
