Tiny Butterflies
Welcome to my latest knitting project: an adorable car seat blanket featuring a delicate lace border and a charming tiny butterflies pattern, designed specifically for little ones. This contoured-shaped blanket is perfect for car rides and adds a cozy touch to your baby's travel gear.
In this pattern, you'll find detailed photographs documenting various stages of the blanket project, along with clear written instructions and helpful charts to guide you through the knitting process. Whether you prefer a classic single-color look or a more vibrant two-tone design with a contrasting border, this blanket can be customized to fit your style. For my version, I used James C. Brett baby DK yarn in a lovely pink shade, and to complete this project, you'll only need one skein. Depending on the yarn brand and length per ball, you can expect to require approximately 300-310 meters of yarn.
For this blanket, I recommend using 3mm knitting needles; however, if you're accustomed to working with DK yarn using 4mm needles, feel free to stick to your preferred gauge. It's essential to achieve the right gauge to ensure your blanket turns out just as envisioned. Additionally, a tapestry needle will be necessary for assembling the blanket and weaving in those pesky ends.
This pattern is written solely for your personal use, meaning that you cannot resell the pattern or any blankets made from it for financial gain. I appreciate your understanding and support for handmade crafting!
**Important Notice:** In February 2020, a typo was identified in the written instructions for row 7 of the main part. However, rest assured that Chart 1 is correct. The PDF has been updated, and you should find the corrected version available in your library for easy access.
Happy knitting, and I hope you enjoy making this beautiful car seat blanket as much as I enjoyed creating it!
