INTRODUCTION

This delightful scarf pattern is designed to be knit flat as a rectangle, which is then seamed together at the cast-on and bind-off edges to create a beautiful circle scarf or cozy cowl. The number of stitches you cast on will dictate how tall your cowl will be, while the number of rows you knit will determine the finished circumference of the scarf. This project is perfect for knitters of all levels, and it includes helpful video and photo tutorials to guide you through each step.

SIZING

This pattern offers a customizable size, allowing you to create a cowl that fits your personal style and comfort.

Our sample measures 28” {71 cm} around and is 10” {25.5 cm} tall, but you can easily adjust the dimensions to meet your preferences!

YARN

This project is extremely versatile and can be made using any type of yarn. However, for the best results, I recommend using Super Bulky (#6) yarn, which will provide a warm and soft finish.

Keep in mind that yardage will vary based on the number of stitches you cast on and the length you knit. For our sample, we used approximately 100 yards {91 meters} of yarn, but your requirements may differ.

The sample in this pattern features Lion Brand Thick & Quick (80% Acrylic / 20% Wool, 106 yds {97 m}/ 170g) in the beautiful colorway Butterscotch, which gives a cheerful and warm touch to your cowl.

NEEDLES

Choose any needle size that pairs well with your selected yarn. Most yarn labels provide a suggested needle size, which can help you make an informed decision when selecting the right tools for your project.

For our sample, we used US 15 {10 mm} needles, allowing for a loose and cozy texture that showcases the yarn beautifully.

GAUGE

This pattern is highly flexible and works with any gauge, making it an excellent choice for knitters looking to create a personalized accessory.

Whether you are knitting for yourself or as a gift, this versatile circle scarf/cowl pattern is sure to become a staple in your accessory collection. Enjoy creating your own unique version while having fun with different colors and yarn textures!
