Origami Sweater X Loom
Discover the versatility of sizing for both infants and toddlers with our detailed x loom knitting patterns! If you have the 120 peg 3/8" gauge x loom, you can easily create adorable infant-sized garments. For those using the 160 peg 3/8" gauge x loom, you’ll be able to craft stylish toddler-sized sweaters. If you prefer the larger gauge looms, the 128 peg 1/2" gauge x loom is perfect for producing toddler-sized projects, while the 96 peg 1/2" gauge works wonderfully for infants. You can further customize the size of your garment by varying the edge design. Choose from 8, 10, 14, 16, 18, or even 20 pegs to create unique edging that adjusts the overall circumference of the sweater. This feature allows you to create a perfect fit for each child. For beginners and experienced knitters alike, we've included video tutorials that cover the essential techniques for using x looms, as well as specific tutorials for edging and crafting double sleeves. While there is currently no video tutorial for the skirt design, we provide helpful photos to assist you in changing up your pattern. As for materials, I used one skein of Mandala yarn for the larger sweater, but I highly recommend purchasing a second skein just to be safe. I found myself pushing to make that one skein suffice for the larger project. When working with the infant sizing, you'll find it takes significantly less yarn; I didn’t even use half a skein of simple baby yarn for that size. Whether you’re knitting a cozy sweater for an infant or a stylish piece for a toddler, our comprehensive resources will guide you every step of the way.
