Important corrections to the Cable Chart written instructions should be noted:
Updated Cable Chart Written Instructions for Rounds 1 - 10: For Rounds 1 through 9, knit as follows: P4, CB10 to end. Then, for Round 10: P4, k10 to end. Following these instructions for Rounds 1 - 10 will set the pattern correctly.
The Tiny Lumberjack Hat is a cherished design that I first self-published in January 2015. This pattern continues to be one of my favorites and has gained immense popularity over the years. To celebrate the fifth anniversary of its release, I am excited to introduce the adult version, aptly named the Not So Tiny Lumberjack Hat. This hat is designed to provide stylish warmth and comfort for the entire family, whether for chilly outdoor adventures or cozy nights in.
For an ideal fit, this hat is designed to be worn with approximately 5 cm of positive ease. The sample shown is in Size 2, providing a trendy oversized look.
YARN: You will need Lamana Como (100% merino wool; each skein weighs 25g and measures 120m / 131yds). For the Not So Tiny Lumberjack Hat, you will require: A: 1 (1, 1) skein in Natur (Wool White) 00, B: 1 (1, 1) skein in Karmin (Carmine) 33, and C: 2 (2, 2) skeins in Silbergrau (Silver Grey) 05M.
GAUGE: To achieve the perfect fit, ensure to follow the gauge specifications: 34 stitches & 38 rows = 10 cm / 4” in 2 x 2 Ribbing on 3.25mm knitting needles, and 32 stitches & 34 rows = 10 cm / 4” in the Cable Chart pattern on 4mm knitting needles.
