This project is designed to be worked in the round using a 9mm circular needle. To achieve the perfect texture, we recommend using The Mercerie's British aran yarn, which boasts a pre-felted tension of 12 stitches by 18 rows. After felting, you can expect a finished tension of approximately 18 stitches by 27 rows. The felting process is completed in your washing machine - a simple and straightforward method!

For this project, you will need a total of 6 x 50gm balls of British aran wool: 2 balls in Denim Blue, 2 balls in Storm Grey, and 2 balls in Cloud White. If you choose to substitute a different yarn, ensure that it consists of 100% pure wool and importantly, is NOT superwash, as this type of yarn will not felt properly and may result in unsatisfactory results.
