One of my favorite places to pitch a tent is beneath the sheltering arms of the hemlock trees that grace the banks of our local creek. In the tranquil early hours of the morning, these towering trees gently shield you from the bright sunlight that spills over the ridge, allowing you just a little extra time to enjoy the comfort of your sleeping bag, as you lie there peeking up at the sunlit branches. The soothing sounds of the gently bubbling creek create a peaceful atmosphere—although if we're being honest, you might just be pretending to still be asleep at this blissful moment. As the day warms up, the lush shade provided by the hemlocks keeps the entire campsite cool and inviting.
Introducing my latest knitting project: a chunky, deeply textured hat featuring elegant travelling cables and intricate twisted slipped stitches. This cozy hat knits up quickly using bulky weight yarn, making it a perfect choice for both seasoned knitters and those looking for a satisfying quick project. The beautiful cable stitches weave their way gracefully from the edge of the hat to the crown, reminiscent of branches receding into the lush green needles of a majestic hemlock tree. Meanwhile, the garter stitch sections nestled within the cables evoke the gentle beauty of the tiny forest floor plants that thrive in the dappled light. Get ready to embrace the comfort and warmth of this stunning handmade accessory, perfect for chilly days! Whether you’re knitting for yourself or gifting it to someone special, this hat is sure to be cherished.
