Gauge: Achieving the correct gauge is important for ensuring a perfect fit. For the cowl and hat, strive for a gauge of 14 sts and 16 rows equal to 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch when using the larger needles. For the mittens, aim for a slightly tighter gauge of 16 sts and 20 rows equal to 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch, again using the larger size needles.
