Big Head Bear Knitting Pattern
Create your own adorable Big Head Bear with this easy-to-follow knitting pattern! The finished bear stands approximately 9 inches (23cm) tall, making it the perfect cuddly companion or a delightful gift for loved ones.
Materials Needed
- 4 double-pointed needles in a size suitable for your chosen yarn weight. For a firmer fabric, I recommend using needles one or two sizes smaller than what the yarn label suggests. I personally used size 2 (3mm) needles.
- Needles size 6 (4mm) to knit the bear's cozy sweater.
- Yellow yarn for the bear's body. I used Nako Vizon, a soft 100% Acrylic yarn (100g = 195m).
- Green and white yarn for the sweater. I chose Nako Sport Wool, which is a blend of 25% Wool and 75% Acrylic (100g = 120m).
- White quilting thread or another strong thread to securely join the bear's arms and legs.
- Toy stuffing to give your bear a huggable shape.
- Yarn needle for weaving in ends and seaming pieces together.
- Stitch holder to keep your stitches organized while working on different parts of the bear.
- 2 beads for creating cute eyes that bring your bear to life.
- A plastic nose to add the finishing touch to your bear's face.
This pattern is designed to be knitted entirely in the round, which helps eliminate unsightly seams for a polished finish. If you're new to toy knitting, don't worry!
