Introducing Banyan Love and Banyan Double Love: These stunning knitting patterns feature the ever-popular 'Trees' cabled pattern, originally developed in Barbara Walker's renowned Stitch dictionaries. Each design is crafted with a beautifully textured surround of vertical strips of garter stitch alternating with stockinette, creating a unique and eye-catching blanket. Both patterns are designed to be knit in one continuous piece with no seaming required, making them an enjoyable project for knitters of various skill levels.
Why do we offer two versions of this pattern? We listened to the requests of our knitting community, and due to popular demand, we've created both versions to cater to different tastes: one with more trees for those who love intricate designs, and another with a bit more background for those who prefer a balanced look.
Which version should you choose for your next knitting project?
BANYAN LOVE: As depicted in the photos on the left, this version is particularly suited for beginners who have little to no experience with cabling. It is heavily tutorialized and descriptive, providing clear guidance to help you master the techniques involved.
BANYAN DOUBLE LOVE: Featuring four distinct sets of trees, as illustrated in the accompanying schematic (and the lovely lilac photo), this pattern has undergone extensive testing. All stitch counts have been triple-checked for accuracy. This version is perfect for more experienced knitters or adventurous beginners who are ready to take on a challenge after completing [The Dishcloth practice piece]. It's a rewarding project that will elevate your knitting skills!
No matter which version you select, both Banyan Love and Banyan Double Love promise to enhance your knitting repertoire while providing an engaging creative experience.
