Anne's secret garden baby blanket

$6.55

This beautiful baby blanket pattern is inspired by my first and only niece, Anne. Designed with both functionality and aesthetics in mind, this fully reversible blanket features a charming leafy structure on the “right” side and elegant vines on the “wrong” side, making it perfect for cozy snuggles. When my younger daughter saw the delightful blanket made for her cousin, she couldn't resist and immediately requested one for herself. As a result, I created a toddler-sized version that is just as stunning.

Construction The blanket is crafted in a classic rectangle shape using a two-colored, syncopated brioche technique that showcases a beautiful leafy pattern throughout. The project begins with a two-colored tubular cast-on, allowing for a clean and professional finish. In the first few repeats, you'll work in traditional two-colored brioche stitches. Midway through the row, syncopated brioche is introduced and skillfully expanded to create an eye-catching oval-shaped contrast pattern in the center of the blanket. As you progress towards the top, the syncopated brioche gradually reduces, allowing the blanket to seamlessly transition back to the initial two-colored leafy design. The project concludes with a tubular bind-off for a polished look.

This unique knitting pattern not only makes a wonderful gift for babies and toddlers but also serves as an excellent project for knitters looking to enhance their skills in brioche knitting. With clear instructions and a thoughtful design, this blanket is sure to be cherished for years to come. Whether you're making it for a special little one or for yourself, this delightful knitted blanket will undoubtedly bring warmth and joy!
