Angel Wings Blanket
On November 6, 2016, I welcomed my baby, Israel Blaine, into this world. Tragically, he was stillborn. During our time at the hospital, the nurses gently wrapped his tiny body in a heartfelt donated blanket and a delicate hat. These simple gestures held profound meaning for me, as I had never imagined I would need such tiny knits. Having something lovingly handmade specifically for him was a source of comfort during an unimaginable time.
In the weeks following his birth, I felt compelled to give back. I began knitting blankets to donate to the hospital, ensuring that other families experiencing the loss of a stillborn baby would have a similar source of comfort in their time of grief. This special blanket, adorned with angel wings, was designed in memory of Israel. It serves as a meaningful tribute not only to him but also to other little angels who are dearly missed.
I invite you to join me in this mission of love. The pattern for this beautiful Stillborn Blanket is offered for free, and it comes in multiple sizes, allowing you to create a blanket that best fits your needs. You too can make a poignant impact by knitting and donating a stillborn blanket to your local hospital, or consider supporting a Pregnancy and Infant Loss Grief Program in your area. Your kind gesture can provide comfort to families in their time of need.

Please note: The pattern provided is specifically for the blanket showcased, and does not include the hat. The hat was lovingly knit as part of my donation efforts but is not included in the pattern offered.
